Ridgeview Farm

Ridgeview Farm is a family beef farm in Alto, Michigan, run by Bob and Jami Goble and their sons, who handle the daily work themselves, from feeding livestock to growing the feed. The family describes its guiding values as faith, family and farming, and sees the farm as the best place to raise children.
The Gobles credit their beef's flavor to how the cattle are raised. It starts with genetics: they breed their own stock from sound females and carefully chosen bulls rather than buying cattle at random. The herd lives on pasture year round with no confinement, and has free choice access to a grain mix of barley, spelt, oats and corn that the family grows. The beef is naturally raised, with no hormones and no fed antibiotics, and the cattle are checked daily for overall health.
Beef is sold by the quarter or half, cut, vacuum wrapped and frozen, as well as in individual cuts and custom boxes. The farm store on 100th Street also carries lamb, pork and bison cuts, MooVille creamery products, and local honey, maple syrup and pasta. Visitors are welcome to see how the animals are raised.
